申命記 7:21 彼らの前でおののいてはならない。あなたの神、主、大いなる恐れるべき神が、あなたのうちにおられるから。

It can be downright amazing how easily we can forget this simple fact. We have reminders of it throughout Scripture, from Elisha asking God to open the eyes of his servant so that he could see the angelic forces that were protecting them (2 Kings 6:15-17) all the way to 1 John 4:4, in which we are assured that the Holy Spirit in us is greater than the devil who is in the world. The devil naturally does all he can to make us forget it, because lies are his only real weapon. When we know the truth and stand firm in it, the devil can't budge us! We are constantly faced with problems of one sort and another. Some of them we are involved in dealing with, but many of them we aren't. The devil wants to steal our peace and joy by getting us worked up over the ones we aren't to be involved with, and he wants to convince us that we don't have the answers to the ones we are involved with, but all of that is a crock of lies. When we turn our hearts and minds to God, remembering both His power and His love, then we are filled with peace and joy as we wait in hope for His solutions to everything we face.

この単純な事実を私たちは、いともたやすく忘れてしまいます。エリシャが召使の目を開かれるように神様にお願いし、御使いが彼らを守ったことが書かれています。（第２列王記６：１５~１７）さらに１ヨハネ４：４では、聖霊様が悪魔よりもはるかに力ある方だと確信させていますが、このように聖書は全体を通して神様の力を思い出させています。悪魔は私たちに、この真実を忘れさせようと躍起です。嘘という唯一の道具を用いるからです。もし私たちがこの真実を知り、しっかり立つならば、悪魔に打つ手はありません！人は常にあれやこれやと問題を抱えています。対処している問題もあれば、そうでない場合も多くあるでしょう。そうした対処していない問題を通して、悪魔は私たちから平安と喜びを盗みとろうとします。対処している問題に答えなどない、と思い込ませようとします。しかし、それは全くの嘘です。神様の心と思いを向け、神様の力と愛を思い出すなら、平安と喜びに満たされます。そして抱えている問題の解決も神様に期待できるのです。

This is something I have known on an intellectual level for a long time, but it is still being worked into me on an emotional level. I am still all too prone to focus on the problem instead of on God who is the solution. I've got to be yielded to God in every way, not relying on the gifts He's placed in me but on God Himself, allowing His Spirit to guide me into His answer for every question. I've got to get out of the mindset that I've got to fix anything. Rather, I've got to be fully submitted to allow God to use me however He wants to in bringing about His solution.

これは、私も長い間、頭では理解できていました。しかし、気持ちの上では、まだまだです。私は未だに解決をなさる神様にではなく、問題そのものに目を向けてしまいがちなのです。どような方法にあっても、神様に従い、与えられた私の賜物に頼ることのないようすべきです。神様に頼り、聖霊様に問題解決していただくように導いて頂きます。自分でやらねば、という思いから脱却すべきです。解決をもたらしてくださる神様に、私が用いられるように、十分従っていきたいものです。

Father, thank You for the progress I've made recently in this area. Help me share with others the grace I myself have received, and help me continue to grow. Help me indeed rest and rejoice in You, today and each day, fearing nothing because I know You, Your power and Your love. Thank You. Praise God!

父よ。この領域で私が最近、進歩できたことを感謝します。恵みを他の方とも分かつことのできるように助けてください。私が成長し続けられますように。今日も、来る全ての日も、あなたにある平安と喜びを保てるよう助けてください。み力、愛、そしてあなたを知っているので、恐れることは何もないのです。感謝します。神様を賛美します！
