詩篇 43:3 どうか、あなたの光とまことを送り、私を導いてください。あなたの聖なる山、あなたのお住まいに 向かってそれらが、私を連れて行きますように。

God's light, His revelation, indeed lead us to Him. However, considering our passage for the year, believers need to realize that it is our function, as the light of the world, to lead others to God as well. People all around us are floundering around for lack of light to guide them. Christians have the responsibility and privilege of shedding light on such people so that they can see their way to God, who is the source of all true light and truth. Some would say (especially those who reject God) that such a position is sheer conceit and an affront to “the dignity of man.” It is true that we must share the light in all gentleness and humility, but refusing to share the light is spitting in the face of God, who loved the world, not just us, so much that He gave His Son as an atonement for the sins of all mankind. The devil does all he can to convince people there is no such thing as ultimate truth and good, especially in the spiritual realm, and in recent years he has been sadly successful. Our function as the light of the world is to give people, give society, a frame of reference as to what is right and true, so that they will be able to see through the lies of the devil. If you are in a completely dark room it is easy to become disoriented, but it doesn't take a very bright light to get your bearings. We aren't to bemoan how small our light is, but rather understand that even a small light can make a huge difference.

神様の光、救いは本当に彼自身へ私たちを導きます。しかしその年の私たちの道について考えると、世の光として神様へと他の人々を導くのは同様に私たちの役目だと理解する必要があります。私たちの周りに居るすべての人達は彼らを導く光が欠け四苦八苦しています。そのような人達が真の光と真実の源である神様へと歩む彼らの道を見ることができるよう、クリスチャン彼らへ光を照らす責任と特権があります。中にはそのようなポジションは真に自負心で「人の威厳」とはかけ離れたことであるという人（特に神様を拒否している人々）がいます。私たちがすべての優しさと謙虚さの元で光を分かち合わなければならないことは事実です。しかし光を分かち合うことを拒むことは、私たちだけではなくこの世を愛され、それゆえにすべての人間の罪のための償いとしてご自分の息子を与えられた神様の顔に唾を吐くことです。悪魔はそのような究極な真実や良いことは存在しないと人々を説得するために最善を尽くします。特に聖的領域にいる人々に対しそのようにします。悲しいことに近年、彼はそのことについて成功しています。世の光としての私たちの役目は人々や社会に、何が正しくて真実なのかという基準系を与え、彼らが悪魔の嘘を見通すことが出来るようにすることです。もしあなたが全く暗い部屋にいるなら簡単に混乱してしまいますが、しかし自分がどこにいるか分かるためには非常に明るい光が必要ということではありません。私たちは自分たちの光がどれほど小さいかと嘆くのではなく、むしろたとえ小さな光でさえ大きな結果をもたらすことが出来るということを理解しなければなりません。

This is an important truth that urgently needs to get through to all the believers. Because I grew up in a strongly Christian environment, I sometimes forget what it must be like for those who don't have the same foundation for evaluating truth. I cannot just dump facts on people, even believers; I've got to walk them through the truths of God so that they can appropriate them and apply them. My job is not to draw people to me, but to help people see the way to God, and help them understand that they can likewise help others see the way to God as well.

これはすべての信者に直ちに分かってもらう必要がある重要な真実です。私は信仰が強いクリスチャン環境で育ったため、真実を評価するための同じような基礎を持っていない人達にとってそれがどのようなことであるか時々忘れてしみます。私は人々に、たとえ信者にも、ただ真実を放り出すことはできません。彼らがそれらを使用し適応できるよう、神様の真実を通してそれらを押していかなければなりません。私の仕事は私へと人々をひきつけることではなく、人々が神様への道を見る助けをし彼らが同じように他の人達を神様へと導くことが出来るよう彼らを助けることです。

Father, You give me more messages that I have the opportunity to preach! Show me when and how to communicate these truths You pour into me, so that the sheep may be fed, the lies of the devil repulsed, and the Body of Christ built up. Thank You for the book I'm reading right now, pointing out the importance of one-to-one transmission of truth. Help me be faithful in doing that, taking the time to be with people individually, transmitting what You have placed in me by action and not just word, so that the Body of Christ may be built up indeed, for Your glory. Thank You. Hallelujah!

お父様、説教をする機会がある以上に多くのメッセージを与えてくださります。その羊たちが糧を与えられ、悪魔の嘘に反撃し、キリストの体が作り上げられるよう、あなたが私に注ぎ込んでくださるこれらの真実を私がいつ、どのように伝えるべきか、どうぞお示しください。私が今読んでいる本についてあなたに感謝します。それは真実の一対一の伝達の重要性を指摘してくれます。私がそれをすることにおいて忠実で、個々人と時間をとり、あなたが私に与えられたことをただ言葉だけではなく行動によって伝えることができるよう、どうぞ私を助けてください。そしてあなたの御栄光のために、キリストの体が真に作り上げられますように。感謝します。ハレルヤ！
