S: 第１ペテロ 4:10 それぞれが賜物を受けているのですから、神のさまざまな恵みの良い管理者として、その賜物を用いて、互いに仕え合いなさい。
O: Probably God's grace and gifting take as many forms as there are people, which is why we often run into problems when we try to formulate rules for service. However, one principle shines clear: God's gifts are to be used for service; they aren't just for the benefit of the immediate recipient. We overlook this principle to our peril, because when we get self-centered in relation to God's gifts we completely miss His purposes is giving them, and everyone loses their benefit. God's gifts indeed bless the immediate recipients, but if we fail to see that they are to be used in service to God through serving others, we fail to receive the true benefit and the Body of Christ is not built up. Some gifts, such as hospitality, prophecy, and giving, are obviously outwardly directed, but some, such as tongues, are less so. The use of tongues does build up the speaker, as both Paul and Jude say clearly, but if we only speak in tongues to make us feel good and/or important, we've missed the boat. Tongues are to empower us as intercessors, enabling us to pray for situations in which we don't know the details, much less what God's intended outcome might be. They are to be used faithfully and intentionally with the purpose of building up the Body of Christ and establishing the Kingdom of God.
O: 神様の恵みと賜物はおそらく人間の数だけあるのでしょう。それゆえに礼拝形式で問題が生じるので す。しかし、一つのはっきりとした原理が輝くほどに明らかです。神様の賜物は礼拝で用いられるべきです。賜物が礼拝時、直節、人のためになるだけではあり ません。神様の賜物に関連して自己中心的な時、私たちは完全に神様の目的を見失い、この原則を危険なほどに見落としているのです。そしてみんながこの恩恵 を逃してしまうのです。神様の賜物は聞く人に直接、祝福となります。しかし、他の方々に奉仕することを通して、神に仕えることをできないならば、私たちも 益を得られないし、キリストの体が建て上げられることもありません。もてなし、預言、与えなどの賜物は明らかに用いることができますが、異言などの場合は そうではありません。異言は話者を建て上げますが、パウロやユダが指摘するように、異言を話すことで優位に感じるならば、それは重要な点を欠いています。 異言はとりなしとして私たちを強め、詳しく知らない状況でも、あるいは神様の御用意なさっている結果が分からなくとも、祈ることができます。異言は誠実 に、そしてキリストの体が建て上げられ、神の御国のために用いられるべきです。
A: I have been disturbed to hear of other churches that stress spiritual gifts, and particularly tongues, without teaching the believers how to apply those gifts to build up the Body of Christ. I must not make that same mistake! If I will be faithful and clear in teaching, then the believers will desire and exercise spiritual gifts and the Body of Christ will be built up. Service within the Body is not an option for Christians; the only variable is the form that service will take. I need to help each believer understand how their gifts can benefit the whole Body, and encourage them in the exercise of those gifts.
Ａ：信者に異言の賜物がキリストの体を建て上げるためであることを教えずに、霊的賜 物、とりわけ異言を強調する教会に私は不快を感じています。私も同じような間違いをしないように気をつけなくてはいけません！信仰をもってはっきりと教え るなら、信者もキリストの体のために霊的賜物を使うことを望むはずです。キリストの体の一部として奉仕することはクリスチャンの必須です。後は礼拝の形を どうとるか、だけです。信者の賜物を理解してもらい、キリストの体のために賜物を用いるように励ましていきたいと思います。
P: Father, thank You for the generosity of Your gifts. Help me be faithful in exercising those You have placed in me, so that I will in turn help others recognize and exercise the gifts You have placed in them, so that together we may build up the Body of Christ, for Your glory.
