ルカ 4:14-21

S: ルカ 4:16 それから、イエスは自分の育ったナザレに行き、いつものとおり安息日に会堂に入り、朗読しようとして立たれた。

O: Two things stand out to me in this verse. The first is that Jesus went to church regularly. It would seem that if anyone wouldn't need to go to church it would be Jesus, but it says that “He went like He always did.” Our responsibility before God is individual, but we need one another to fulfill that responsibility. We are created in the image of God, and He is a relational Being, as came out in the reading just two days ago. Jesus needed times to be alone, but He spent most of His time with His disciples, and corporate worship was His regular custom.
The second thing that stands out to me here is that Jesus not only attended church, He served in it. It was obviously not an unusual thing for Him to be the reader in the service, and He did it in proper form. We go to church for three reasons: because we need to worship God in a corporate setting, because God tells us to honor Him in this way, and because we serve God by serving His people, doing whatever is called for to make the worship service go smoothly.

Ｏ： この節では二つの事柄が私に心に響いてきます。まず、イエスがいつも教会に通っていたことです。「イエスはいつものとおり会堂に行った」とあるように教会 に行くべきです。神様の御前で私たちは、責任を果たすために互いに必要し合っています。私たちは神様に似せて創られたのです。二日前に学んだことですが、 神様は人との関わりを持つお方です。イエスは一人の時間を必要とされましたが、殆どの時間を弟子と過ごされ、礼拝はイエスの決まった習慣でした。私が印象 を受けた二つ目は、イエスが単に教会に通っていただけでなく、そこで奉仕をしていたことです。イエスにとって礼拝で朗読することは、特に珍しいことではな く、適正な形で行っていました。私たちが教会に行くのは三つの理由からです。まず、神様を教会の環境で礼拝するためです。神様がそうするように言われたか らです。そして、神様のしもべである人々に奉仕し合うことで神様に仕えるためです。そのためには、召しが何であれ礼拝を円滑にするべきです。

A: Cathy and I were both raised to be at church every time the doors were open, but there was a period in which we went as little as we could get away with, which was very little indeed. I am not to be condemnatory of those who profess Christ but don't attend, but rather encourage them and work with them on the issues that stand in the way, whether they are personal or corporate. Likewise, I am not to be condemnatory of those who don't participate actively in the worship when they are present, but rather encourage them to give all they know of themselves to all they know of Christ. I need to help each believer understand that they need to participate in the body life of the church as much if not more than the church needs their participation.

Ａ： 　キャシーと私は必ず教会に出席するように教えられて育ちましたが、それでもほんの少しですが、出席しなかった時があります。キリストを崇めながら、教会 に来ない人を責める気はありませんが、むしろ彼らを励まし、妨げになっている問題を取り除くようにしてあげたいと思います。それが個人的、集団的な問題で あろうともです。同じように、礼拝に積極的に参加しない人たちを責めることもしませんが、彼らが分かっているだけの自分を分かっているだけのキリストに捧 げるように教えていきたいと思います。命の体である教会に参加する必要を彼らに分かってもらうように助けていきたいと思います。

P: Father, I come back to the awareness that Your Church is Your people, not buildings or organizations or anything else. I ask for Your wisdom, Your grace and Your love in working with Your people, so that hurts may be healed, bondages cast off, and gifts brought into joyful activity, for Your glory. Thank You.
