S: 第１テモテ 1:15 「キリスト・イエスは、罪人を救うためにこの世に来られた」と言うことばは、まことであり、そのまま受け入れるに値するものです。私はその罪人のかしらです
O: We have to have some grasp of how urgently we needed to be saved before we're going to have much motivation for working for the salvation of others. Each of us has a different story to tell, but each of us was absolutely lost and headed for hell before encountering and committing to Jesus Christ. The lady I talked to Friday was a really nice person, but she was trusting in that to get her to “a nice place” after death, and I had to tell her that wouldn't work. The danger for someone who has never done anything they consider drastic is in thinking they're good enough as they are to enter heaven, not realizing that very attitude is spitting in the face of a holy God. We have to realize how hopeless we are without Christ before we can receive the salvation that can be ours in Christ. As Paul, and Jesus Himself (Mark 2:17, Luke 19:10) said, Christ Jesus came to save sinners, so if you refuse to acknowledge your sin, you place yourself apart from His salvation.
Ｏ： 他の方を救いへと導くための働きをする以前に、私たち自身がまず先に救われるべきことを理解しましょう。各々がそれぞれの事情を持っていて、イエス・キ リストに出会うまでは完全な迷い子で地獄へと向かっていたのです。金曜に私が話をした女性はとても良い方でしたが、死後「良き場所」へと導いてくれるもの を信じています。それが間違いであることを私は伝えなくてはなりません。ひどいことをしたと思っていない人は危険です。天国に行けると思っているからで す。実はそうした態度が聖なる神様の御顔から切り離しているのですが。キリストのある救いを受ける前に、キリストなくしてどれほどに私達が無力であるかに 気づきましょう。キリストは罪人を救うために来たとイエス御自身とパウロが語っています。（マルコ２：１７、ルカ１９：１０）ですから罪を認めないなら、 自分自身で救いを遠ざけているのです。
A: I don't remember how conscious I was of my sin when I was baptized at age 7, but I certainly got a full dose of that awareness at 23! My mother had a sharp awareness of her need at age 5, which she told me about in detail when I was in college, so it's not true that little children can't effectively repent and be born again. However, when children aren't raised with a clear awareness of right and wrong, which is certainly the norm today, that becomes much more problematical. In any case, the Bible is very clear that repentance is essential for salvation, so I must not draw back from making people aware of their sin. Even that couple Friday, as nice as they were, have ignored and presumed on God at the very least, so I had to gently try to help them see that. I am not a judge, but I have to help people understand their need so that they will receive God's supply.
Ａ： 私は７歳でバプテスマを受けたのですが、どの程度、自分の罪を自覚していたかは覚えていません。しかし２３歳の時は確かに自覚し過ぎるほど自覚していま した。母は５歳で自らの罪を自覚していました。その詳細は私が大学生の時に聞きました。幼い子が悔い改め、新生するのは真実です。今日、善悪のけじめがつ かないような育て方が多いのですが、そうして育った子供は問題児となる可能性が高くなります。聖書では悔い改めが救いに必要であることを明示しています。 ですから、私は怯むことなく、人々が罪の自覚を持つように助けていきたいと思います。金曜日にあった御夫婦はとても良い方たちでしたが、神様を無視してい ました。彼らが救われるように働きたいと思います。私は裁く人ではありません。人々が神様の備えを頂けるように助けるのが私の務めです！
P: Father, thank You for this reminder. I pray that this will be clearly in my mind as I speak this evening on “What is a Christian?” Thank You for the two messages You've given me for today. Help me deliver each of them with Your love in the power of Your Spirit, so that my hearers will hear from You and receive both the conviction and the encouragement they need to walk in full obedience to You, for their blessing and Your glory. Thank You. Hallelujah!
